After never thinking she would work full-time with children, it was when Angela’s mother passed away 13 years ago that Angela started to investigate fostering further after seeing an advert about it on the TV one night.
She explains: “Unfortunately, I’m unable to have my own children, so when I saw that ad, something just drew me to look into it further.”
Angela continues: “My young person is still with me now, and it’s coming up to 11 years! I have another young person in my care who has been with me for 4 months now, and it looks like that will be long-term too.”
When talking about why she chose FCA Scotland, she said: “FCA Scotland has always been very family orientated; always had family days and I’ve always had a good connection – that’s why I’ve stuck with FCA Scotland for 11 years. Also, the support network, and the training that we get.”
“There is always someone on the end of the phone, whether that be someone in the office or another carer, or another rep, there’s always someone to talk to.”
