This week eight young people at FCA Scotland have taken part in Fire Reach run by Scottish Fire and Rescue. The group have had to work together to complete tasks and have learned communication and team work skills throughout all learning opportunities is key. The week ended with a passing out parade for the young people to celebrate their learning.
Some of the areas the group have covered are:
- Search and Rescue techniques
- Emergency first aid CPR
- Running hoses
- Responding to road traffic accidents
- Anti-social behaviour
- Working in enclosed spaces
